Guildford Cathedral Exhibition coming up

Guildford Cathedral is a dramatic and imposing building of the mid 20th Century, standing on Stag Hill and overlooking the City of Guildford. Its exterior is brick, but inside it is exquisitely clad in marble. This will be the setting for our next exhibition, which will run from Tuesday 26th June to 29th July and is part of the Guildford Summer Festival. The work from all the schools in Surrey and many in surrounding counties will be on show, together with a good selection from all round the Commonwealth. Two recently finished canvases on show from local schools have never been displayed before.

The exhibition is in the North and South Aisles of the Cathedral, which is generally open from 9am to 4pm on weekdays and 12.30 to 4pm on Sundays, but please check the calendar pages on the Cathedral's website for the days when it is closed to visitors. Admission is free of charge. School parties are very welcome, but please contact the Schools Officer, Catherine Warrington, beforehand, telephone 01483 547880, e-mail
