Raising funds on Marylebone Station for Leonard Cheshire Disability

Twenty-four schools' tapestries were on show on the concourse of Marylebone Station at a special charity event on Monday 16th June, part of Tea for Ability Week, when vouchers for free cups of tea and coffee and free Banbury Cakes were handed out from 1pm to 7pm. The event proved highly successful both in raising funds and in publicising Banbury and the celebrations for the 400th anniverary of the granting of a Royal Charter to the town by James I. The drinks were kindly donated by AMT Coffee, and the Banbury Cakes by Brown's Original Banbury Cakes. We should also like to thank Chiltern Railways for hosting the tea party and for looking after the special guests from Brackley Junior School and Grimsbury Family Association, both of whom they sponsored to take part in the Charter 400 Tapestry.
