About Us

SIMON THEOBALD - Commercial Director
The Millennium Tapestry Company

A highly experienced senior executive, Simon Theobald has developed unique industry and management skills gained in business and IT over the last 25 years.

His experience ranges from being integral in the implementation of the first payment card systems in the UK to successfully leading as Chief Executive Officer, a multi-million pound public (NASDAQ) software company. Through the successful implementation of a strategic business plan, Simon guided this company from recording annual losses to achieving significant recurring revenue (turnover) growth within a closely managed cost structure, plus consistently improved positive net margins leading to positive cash flow.

Since 2002, Simon has been continued to manage and direct a group of successful software companies and develop innovative companies within the global market as a partner in the company Mpower1 International Ltd (www.mpower1.com). An international business management and development company, the Mpower1 Group of companies has grown into a multi-million pound organisation that encompasses, amongst others, subsidiaries delivering database solutions (jBASE), .NET development environments (BlueFinity) and document control and management (Connect 360).

Previously, Simon was invited to be joint founding member of the Young Entrepreneurs Organisation (YEO) for the United Kingdom, the affiliate organisation of the WPO (World-wide Presidents Organisation). Simon served on the committee and as head of ‘Forum’.

Away from business, Simon is married and has two children, and in his spare time enjoys golf, motor sports and theatre. In addition to enjoying his work with The Golden and World Youth Tapestries, Simon has remained active in support and fundraising for Cerebral Palsy and a number of other good causes.
