The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh see the first finished tapestry squares

Twenty-nine schools and a Guides group raced to complete their contributions to the MK40 Vision Tapestry to make it in time for the visit of The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh to Milton Keynes. Their work was on show for the Royal Party inside stadium:mk and those who were privileged to see it rated it a truly first class show. The schools were: Bradwell Village Middle School, Drayton Park Primary School, Falconhurst Primary School, Giffard Park Primary School, Greenleys First School and Middle School, Green Park Combined School, Haversham Primary School, Heelands First School, Heronsgate Middle School, Lavendon Primary School, Monkston Primary School, Moorland Infant School, Oldbrook First School, Olney Infant School, Orchard Middle School, Penwith First School, Portfields Combined School, Queen Eleanor Primary School, Rivers Infant School, Romans Field School, St Mary's Wavendon C of E Primary School, St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Primary School, Shepherdswell First School, Sherington C of E Primary School, Slated Row School, Summerfield Combined School, Tickford Park Primary School, White Spire School and The Willows School and Early Years Centre - and the 1st Two Mile Ash Guides.

Many congratulations to all those whose work was at the event - but also to all the further dozen schools that have since finished and sent their work to us. It is all absolutely brilliant and you have all done Milton Keynes proud.
